A suicide attack took place at the Dajal checkpoint in Bhakkar where two police officers were killed. The checkpoint belongs to Punjab Police and is located on a bridge connecting Punjab with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The attack is being reported as Bhakkar checkpoint suicide attack and is the main focus of this news.
According to Shahzad Rafiq Awan, the attacker struck the checkpoint during iftar time. The location is considered important because it connects two provinces through the river bridge.
Two police constables, Muhammad Fahim and Muhammad Shahbaz, were killed in the attack. Another officer was injured and immediately taken to DHQ Hospital Bhakkar for medical treatment.

The district administration declared emergency arrangements at the hospital to handle the situation. I.G. Punjab expressed grief over the martyrdom of the officers and directed better medical care for the injured constable.
The police chief also paid tribute to the fallen officers and said that Punjab Police stands firm against terrorism. The incident of Bhakkar checkpoint suicide attack reflects the security risks faced by law enforcement forces in the region.
